River Ridge board adopts FY2025 budget and assessment roll after minor corrections

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Aug. 27 to adopt the fiscal year 2024/2025 budget and a companion resolution imposing special assessments, after staff corrected scrivener errors in the published materials.

At a public hearing on the proposed budget, District Manager Chuck Adams told the board that "the Fiscal Year 2025 budget in the agenda is not correct," and staff made edits including a revised "Street sweeping" description. The board then adopted Resolution 2024‑07, relating to annual appropriations and authorizing budget amendments, on a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly; the vote was recorded as "with all in favor." No affected property owners spoke during the hearing.

The board also opened and closed a public hearing on Resolution 2024‑08, which makes a determination of benefit and imposes special assessments for FY2024/2025. Counsel recommended and the board approved amendments to remove all references to "Exhibit B" in the document; the resolution was adopted on a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, also with unanimous approval.
