Riverside awards solid-waste collection contract to Suburban Disposal Inc.

The Riverside Township Committee voted July 15 to award the municipality's solid-waste collection contract to Suburban Disposal Inc., effective Sept. 1, 2024.

The resolution (2024-#86) approving the award records Suburban Disposal's bid at $413,000 and notes that Waste Management of New Jersey Inc. submitted a higher bid ($557,928). The township solicitor reviewed the submissions and determined Suburban Disposal's bid to be a responsible offer; the committee adopted the resolution by roll call. The consent roll call and recorded vote show Messrs. Giovanetti, Kimble, Marter and Peditto voting yes; Mr. Kirk was absent.
