The Renick R-V Board of Education adopted the 2025–2026 school calendar and approved new budgeting software at its Feb. 18, 2025 meeting.
Superintendent Jeana Calloway-Hodson presented the proposed school calendar for 2025–26. Board member Brenda Hubert moved to approve the calendar and Tyler Cleeton seconded; the motion carried 7-0.
The board also agreed to use Balance HQ budgeting software to help the superintendent formulate the district budget. The minutes record a motion (moved by Michael McKeown and seconded by Josh Deweese) and a unanimous 7-0 vote. The minutes’ phrasing in that line reads "Michael moved to approve the agenda," but the surrounding context and item heading indicate the vote approved the Balance HQ budgeting software for use in budget development.
Principal Danell Rice reported she has started OUIS and summatives, that RPDC will provide monthly professional development, and that the interview committee has begun conducting staff interviews. Superintendent Calloway-Hodson also presented finance reports and said she is continuing to work on the 2025–2026 salary schedule; board members have completed required video training.
The minutes do not specify funding sources or license cost for Balance HQ; the board did not record further stipulations about software procurement in the minutes.
