Commission seeks quick reply from Baker Tilly, plans small internal meeting to operationalize options

Chair recommended a small internal meeting with a few caucus representatives and the mayor to talk through operationalizing whichever consultant option the council favors; members said the meeting should not create a quorum and therefore would not be an executive session. Attorney Wisniewski and commissioners agreed that representatives (two or fewer commissioners from the commission and caucus leaders) could meet with the mayor and staff to work through operational details before returning recommendations to the full council.
Commissioners asked staff to arrange a brief interim meeting so they could discuss implementation timelines and cost implications once Baker Tilly responds. The commission did not take formal action on operational plans at the March 12 meeting; staff will report back with consultant responses and a schedule for the internal meeting.
