Several residents used the public‑comment period at the June 2 meeting to press the council for faster fixes to recurring flooding and road damage they attribute to nearby development (River’s Edge). Speakers described eroded private dirt roads, swales driven over by semis, filled retention ponds, and newly raised lots that they say redirect stormwater onto older neighborhoods.
