Task force hears state review of Source Water Protection plan; Digihost and Calgon permit status reported

The North Tonawanda Climate Smart Task Force learned that the Source Water Protection Initiative has received a second round of state review and that Ryan Bell of the Department of Health will review and make edits to the plan.

According to the agenda item, Ryan Bell will provide a summary of any major changes and an updated plan. The task force was told that once the state accepts a final version, members can discuss next steps for technical assistance to implement the plan locally.

On permitting, the task force recorded no new updates on the Digihost Title V air permit. Erin reported researching Calgon’s permit information and found it appears to have no expiration date.
