Lewis County dedicates replicas of founding documents to historic courthouse
The Lewis County Board unanimously approved Resolution 26-202 on July 7 to dedicate replicas of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights for permanent display at the Lewis County Historic Courthouse; three commissioners donated the funds for the replicas.

The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners voted 3-0 on July 7 to approve Resolution 26-202, dedicating replicas of the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights for permanent display in the Lewis County Historic Courthouse. The resolution notes that commissioners Lindsay R. Pollock, Scott J. Brummer and Sean D. Swope personally donated funds to purchase the replicas as a commemorative gift for the county’s participation in the U.S. 250th anniversary.
