Pinellas board approves rezoning plan after Cross Bayou Elementary closure
The Pinellas County School Board approved amendments to Policy 51 20 to reassign students after the scheduled closure of Cross Bayou Elementary, splitting its zone between Bardmore and Pinellas Central beginning the 2627 school year; the change passed 7–0 after a second reading and public hearing.

Chair Edmond opened a public hearing on the second reading of amendments to School Board Policy 51 20, which governs student assignment within the district. Director of Strategic Planning and Policy Leanna Ison explained the change is a consequence of the board's February 24 vote to close Cross Bayou Elementary and that the district must revise its grid atlas to reassign affected students.
