The Cochran City Council adopted minimal subdivision standards July 11 after City Manager Richard Newbern presented the proposal and City Engineer Skip Layton explained how the standards would benefit the city. Councilmember Jimmy Jones moved to approve the subdivision standards as presented; Councilmember Gary Ates seconded and the motion passed 5–0.
