Curriculum Director Amy Webb and District Assessment Coordinator Sharla Bauer presented the School District of Spring Valley’s 2024–25 District and School Accountability Reports during the Nov. 19 board meeting, saying the district ranked in the top 12% in the state.
The presentation reviewed achievement and assessment data for the 2024–25 school year and set out the district’s Wildly Important Goals for 2025–26. The board reviewed a planned community, parent and staff survey to gather input on district priorities.
Superintendent John Groh also presented the district enrollment report and the quarterly superintendent evaluation during the meeting. The board performed a first reading of recommended policy updates from Neola (34.2) and proposed updates to Policy 5430 on class rank; those policy changes will return for subsequent readings and possible adoption at a future meeting.
