Shell Lake council raises ATV/UTV speed limit to 30 mph on three lake drives
The Shell Lake City Council on Jan. 13 unanimously approved an ordinance amendment allowing ATV/UTV operation at up to 30 mph on North Lake Drive, South Lake Drive and East Lake Drive; the vote followed routine department reports and no public comments.

Mayor Rowie Hansberger and the Shell Lake City Council unanimously approved an ordinance amendment on Jan. 13 allowing all-terrain and utility task vehicle operation up to 30 miles per hour on North Lake Drive, South Lake Drive and East Lake Drive. Council member Ken Schultz moved the ordinance amendment and Mike Andrews seconded; the motion carried with no recorded opposition.
