Plan Commission hears Dunkin Donuts site-plan update; discusses whether to begin comprehensive plan work

City Clerk Katelyn Wands reported to the City of Shrewsbury Plan Commission that the engineer for a proposed Dunkin Donuts site has submitted plans to the county and the commission is awaiting county plan review.
Commissioner Anna Bischoff asked for the status of the project; in response Wands said the engineer had submitted plans to the county and the commission was "waiting for plan review." Wands added, "No other update currently."
Bischoff also asked where the commission stood on whether to move ahead with work on the next comprehensive plan. Commissioner Garen Miller offered to speak about the proposal at the next Board of Aldermen meeting to gauge the board’s commitment to proceeding.
The minutes record no timelines for county review or follow-up assignments beyond Miller’s offer to raise the comprehensive-plan question with the Board of Aldermen.
