Board unanimously amends cable-franchise rule to remove 15-year minimum term

The Culpeper County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to amend County Code Section 6(a), Article 5 (Cable Communications) to remove a 15-year minimum franchise term, a change staff said is intended to allow negotiation of shorter, potentially more favorable franchise agreements with Comcast and Verizon.
