She said some projects are grant‑funded and require student involvement, equity analyses and close adherence to contracting rules. The district also noted some work (for example, large window replacements at Prescott) will require architectural changes and is unlikely to be completed this summer.
Trustees asked clarifying questions about the scope, the required equity analyses, and whether projects would use general‑fund dollars (Sherry said most are grant or capital‑project funds). A trustee clarified Prescott’s window issues are related to seismic upgrades and heavy original windows that need resizing and hardware replacement.
The board will consider the contracting exception and related project resolutions at upcoming action items.
