The Caroline Town Board unanimously adopted a resolution on April 16 urging state officials to maintain the original regulatory timeline of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. The resolution cited the CLCPA’s 70% renewable electricity by 2030 and net-zero electric grid by 2040 goals and stated the board’s concern that delaying regulatory implementation could increase long-term economic and environmental costs and create market uncertainty for local businesses and developers.
