Board appoints Kathy Muse to Spaulding Community Services District vacancy

The Lassen County Board of Supervisors appointed Kathy Muse to fill a vacancy on the Spaulding Community Services District, with the term expiring Sept. 4, 2026. Deputy clerk Shelley Duraga told the board the agenda contained two clerical errors: the item should list the Spaulding Community Services District (CSD), not a Fire Protection District, and the applicant’s name is Kathy Muse (not Karen). Duraga said one vacancy is a full term and the other is a short term; regardless of which vacancy is filled, the appointee must sign up for election when candidate signups open on July 13.
