Board schedules additional review for Dillon Road development; Rosewood scoping needs more work

At its May 13 meeting the Thompson Planning Board continued review of two larger planning items: the Dillon Road major subdivision and the Rosewood Project scoping document.

Dillon Road representatives said they revised the layout to preserve green space and are still evaluating water-service options; the board encouraged another work session to explore potential uses, utilities and lot counts and noted counsel will need to be appointed while an attorney was recused. The board stressed the importance of discussing water supply options in detail at the next session.

On the Rosewood Project, Consulting Planner Kevin Schwenzfeier reported that his scoping review identified omitted items in the draft document. The board asked for more time to review Schwenzfeier’s memo in full, requested the applicant reappear at the May 27 meeting for clarifications, and decided to move that meeting start 30 minutes earlier (6:30 p.m.) to allow the applicant time without delaying other agenda items.

Next steps: the Dillon Road team will arrange a follow-up work session; the Planning Board will review and finalize comments on the Rosewood scoping memo and meet with the applicant on May 27 at 6:30 p.m.
