The Clare County Board of Commissioners voted to appoint Bob Casey to an open county commissioner seat after interviewing candidates and holding an internal ballot. The chair announced the tally, saying, “3 votes for David Maxon, and we have 5 votes for Bob Casey,” and added that the appointee would be notified and could be sworn in at the next meeting.
