The Fargo Planning Commission on July 7 approved three subdivision plats and cleared several routine administrative items.
Champions Gate at Prairie Farms 4th: Donald Kress presented this replat on 31st Street South (no zoning change; SR‑3). Staff explained the property has a history of replats and recommended approval so the owner can combine two lots and construct a single residence; no public testimony was offered and the commission approved the staff recommendation on roll call.
Berg addition: Donald Kress described the Berg addition, an industrial replat near 5th Avenue South and 23rd Street used primarily for truck parking; Burg Trucking will remain on the property. Staff noted a city-requested utility easement to consolidate access to water and sewer utilities and recommended approval; the commission approved the replat.
Christiansen 32nd Avenue South 4th: Luke Morman presented a minor subdivision to replat two lots into three at 3102 and 3150 36th Street South. Staff noted a stormwater pond on site, a conditional overlay that remains in place, and coordination with the electric company to reroute an easement; the commission approved staff's recommendation on roll call.
Staff updates: Nicole (planning staff) reported the Lost Creek addition was approved by the City Commission with conditions and that the plat will not be recorded until a developer agreement and funding policy items are coordinated. Staff is reviewing the Land Development Code line‑by‑line with consultants and expects a public draft and code‑connect events in early to mid‑August with consultant follow‑up visits late August.
All three plats passed on motions accepting staff recommendations; roll‑call votes were recorded for the official record.
