Appling County votes confidence in county manager; approves reclassifications and raises for exempt staff

County Attorney told the board the County Manager's contract requires a vote of confidence before negotiating a new contract; the board voted to express confidence in County Manager Al Meadows. The board also reclassified the elections supervisor as exempt with a $55,068 salary and approved $2,000 raises for other exempt staff and the tax assessor.

APPLING COUNTY, Ga. — The Appling County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 17 voted to express confidence in County Manager Al Meadows and approved a series of personnel reclassifications and raises following executive-session discussions.
