Public asks about Sam Willson case as Conservation Board vacancy becomes fillable
During Jan. 7 public input, residents asked whether a decision had been made in the Sam Willson case and whether the Conservation Board seat left by Willson would be filled afterward; the board said Willson’s term ended Dec. 31, 2024 and the seat can be filled now.

During public input at the Louisa County Board of Supervisors meeting on Jan. 7, resident Randy Foor asked whether a verdict had been reached in the Sam Willson case. Chair Shawn Maine replied he was not aware of any decision. Resident Bill Poggemiller asked whether the Conservation Board vacancy would be filled only after the Willson case was resolved; Maine said Willson’s Conservation Board term ended Dec. 31, 2024, and the board may fill the seat now.
