The Groveland Planning Board on July 7 asked staff to request that the Homestead Lane subdivision developer mark the recorded buffer zone on the ground so the board and homeowners can inspect a neighbor dispute.
The town planner said he had retrieved the recorded covenant and the full set of subdivision plans and suggested field-marking the buffer before meeting with homeowners. One member noted the buffer is "a 30 foot" zone and recommended simple on-site marking with string or spray so everyone can see where the bounds lie; another member said a formal written request from the planning board would be most convincing to the developer.
Planning staff said they will contact the developer (DeLulu) to ask whether he will mark the buffer and, if not, follow up with a formal letter requesting on-the-ground delineation so the board can meet on site and resolve the dispute. The board discussed but did not order a formal survey at town expense and noted homeowner responsibility if the issue becomes a civil matter.
The planner said he would follow up and report back at the next meeting.
