Committee recommends one-way Bentert Street to expand Triangle Park green space
On May 19, 2026, the Joint Beautification/Lake, Parks, and Recreation Committees recommended the village board convert Bentert Street to one-way between 2nd and 1st streets to add about 12 feet of park space and to place a sidewalk on the east curb side; the committee voted 4-0 to send the recommendation.

Co-Chair Rachel Fuller said the committees reviewed a design to convert Bentert Street to a one-way road from 2nd Street to 1st Street that would add roughly 12 feet 3 inches of green space to Triangle Park while retaining existing parking.
