Planning board schedules April public hearing for Rolin Fields ADA ramp; requests plan updates

Michael Sarandon said the facility currently uses ADA-accessible trailer bathrooms connected by paved walkways; the proposed enclosed ramp would provide covered, accessible entry to seating and play/viewing areas. Town Engineer Brandee Nelson asked the applicants to update the site plan with missing information identified in her memo, including location of ADA parking and accessible routes, outdoor lighting condition, and any proposed signage. The board also requested elevation renderings and images of current conditions.
Because the property is on Route 9G, the board noted the application must be sent to the DC Department of Planning for a 30-day review. The board set a public hearing for April 6, 2026. A Type II Action Resolution was reviewed and passed at the meeting.
