Staff recorded a commitment to encumber the funds for the utility-box program so planning can proceed. "We also, during the course of the discussion, get a commitment to encumber the utility box funding," the staff member said; the commission noted the commitment was captured on the meeting video.
Commission members discussed next steps: staff will connect the presenter and the director to coordinate with Public Works, prepare a draft call for artists and an outreach timeline, and confirm whether anti-graffiti coating and maintenance responsibilities will be included in artist contracts or handled by the city.
