Alsip board approves consent agenda including MFT resolution and fire-code change for EV charging

By unanimous roll call the board established and approved a consent agenda that included a resolution for FY2027 MFT maintenance (read as $1,888,000) and an ordinance amending Chapter 9 to add EV charging systems to fire department key-box requirements (ordinance 2026-07-1); payroll and accounts-payable lists were also approved.
The trustees moved, seconded and approved a consent agenda by roll call. The board approved payroll and accounts-payable lists, legal engagement for several PTAB property tax appeals, a roadway maintenance resolution and a fire-department code amendment for electric-vehicle charging stations. Clerk Harding read the consent items including payroll, fund totals and the resolution and ordinance identifiers: "Item c... in the amount of 1,888,000 will now be known as resolution 2026-07-R-01" and "item h... will now be known as ordinance 2026-07-1."
Trustee McLaurin presented finance totals including payroll dated 06/26/2026 totaling $586,123.97 and a grand total of accounts payable of $2,922,995.92. He also asked that the law office of Odelson, Murphy, Frazier and McGrath be authorized to intervene in six PTAB property tax appeals (properties were listed).
Roll call for approval recorded all trustees voting yes and the motion carried. The board then addressed unfinished business and later moved to adjourn to a closed session to discuss personnel or legal counsel matters under 5 ILCS 120/2.
