Board finds Main Road redevelopment plan consistent after settlement review

The Montville Township Planning Board on June 11 voted unanimously to find a multi-parcel redevelopment plan for Main Road, Daldunn Road and River Road consistent with the Master Plan. Burgis then presented the plan and the recommendation to the board.
Burgis reviewed acreage, environmental constraints, proposed land uses, area and bulk regulations, and recommended forwarding the consistency determination to the governing body. Board members had no substantive questions; the board scheduled a public hearing on the implementing ordinance for June 23, 2026 and approved the consistency finding by unanimous roll-call vote.
The consistency determination does not constitute site-plan approval; additional site-review steps were noted as next actions for the developer and the governing body.
