Parks staff and a cemetery representative explained changes to cemetery pricing driven by reduced lot availability and rising operations and maintenance costs; the resolution adjusts prices for infant lots, cremation garden lots, and specific mausoleum alcove niches.
City staff also summarized a mechanically applied 3.1% school impact fee adjustment tied to the Consumer Price Index for the Seattle‑Tacoma‑Bellevue area; staff said that change was implemented on April 1 according to the CPI formula adopted by council and that the city will evaluate the school district’s capital facilities plan when finalized this summer.
