The Boyce Town Council voted to relist the town's vacant Code Compliance Inspector position after a finalist declined for personal reasons.
Councilmember Berkeley Reynolds moved that the vacancy be re-advertised; Councilmember Carol Coffelt seconded the motion and the council agreed to share the opening broadly, including through the town's public information officer and Facebook channels. Town officials noted the prior listing remains on some websites and directed staff to remove outdated postings and post updated notices.
Town Administrator Matt Hoff said the town will continue to field code-related communications in the interim and that, until the position is filled, the Town Administrator or Town Attorney can send letters or other communications to property owners when needed.
Council members said they want the job posted widely to increase applicant interest and asked staff to bring an update to the next meeting.
