Slinger RDA gets project updates; microbrewery developers pull renovation permit

At the Slinger Redevelopment Authority meeting on Nov. 6, Village Administrator Margaret Wilber briefed members on several development and code-enforcement items affecting village-owned and private properties.
Wilber said a developer interested in the village-owned parcel at 119 Kettle Moraine Drive South is still working on a financial plan for the proposed project. She reported that litigation related to the former creamery building at 100 Storck Street appears to be resolved; once a legal stay on the raze order is lifted, the village expects to resume the raze process. Wilber also said the licensee for the business at 200 West Washington Street surrendered the license and the tavern is not operating at this time. Separately, she told the RDA that developers of a proposed microbrewery at 116 Kettle Moraine Drive South have taken out the building permit needed for major renovations.
No façade program applications were reviewed at the meeting. The RDA approved the Sept. 4 minutes earlier in the session, and the meeting adjourned at 8:30 a.m.
