Selectmen approve computer-use policy, library gym use and routine items; engine pump repair under review

At its July 13 meeting the Cushing Board of Selectmen approved a Town of Cushing Computer Use Policy, accepted a library request to use the community center gym for a family dance on Aug. 15 pending proof of insurance naming the town as additional insured, and handled routine administrative matters.
Selectman Daniel Staples moved and Selectman Laurie Haynes seconded approval of the computer policy; the motion carried unanimously. Chairman Alton Grover read the library's request for a family dance from 7-9 p.m.; the board approved the request contingent on the library supplying proof of insurance.
Chairman Grover reported he had two granite samples in his truck for the board to view at the end of the meeting to choose a stone for the Veterans Memorial. Grover also said Fire Chief Arthur Kiskila emailed K&T Fire Equipment seeking a repair cost for Engine #3's pump after a preventive maintenance report indicated the pump would not hold prime; Grover will contact the chief for further cost information.
