Kenny Marlette, Emergency Management/E911, told the Louisa County Board of Supervisors on Nov. 25 that the department was awarded a $4,000 Community Foundation grant to purchase generators and light towers.
"The department was awarded a $4,000 Community Foundation Grant to purchase generators and light towers," Marlette said. The funds are intended to support emergency response equipment for the county's E911 operations.
Representatives from several county libraries then presented program updates and needs: Amie Herrick (Morning Sun Library), Mandy Grimm (CJ Library), Llewann Bryant (Wapello Library) and Tiffany Stevens (Letts Library) each described their programming and resource requirements. The meeting minutes record the updates but do not specify funding requests or dollar amounts for library needs.
The board also reviewed payroll changes during the session, including a nurse rate of $38.00 per hour for Robin Grimm and a deputy pay rate of $32.33 per hour for Jacob Ford; these personnel items were recorded as reviewed in the minutes.
