Gresham trustees approve bills, renew building-inspector contract and OK operator license

At the Jan. 20 meeting the Gresham Village Board approved village bills totaling $113,538.85 and utility expenses, renewed the Paul Hahn building inspector contract, approved an operator's license for Abbey Rudesill and authorized road weight-limit postings; motions carried unanimously with two trustees absent.
The Village of Gresham board approved routine financial matters, a contract renewal and several operational items during its Jan. 20 meeting.
Clerk/Treasurer Judith Kristof presented the village bills and claims totaling $113,538.85; the board approved forwarding the bills as part of the consent agenda, and the consent agenda passed on a motion by Trustee Brett Hoffman, seconded by Trustee Tom Madsen (vote: 5 YEA, 0 NAY, 2 ABSENT). Utilities were presented and approved for forwarding to the board: Electric $217,237.40; Water $2,262.55; Sewer $5,520.74.
The board approved a renewal contract with building inspector Paul Hahn on a motion by Trustee Brett Hoffman, seconded by Trustee Tom Madsen (motion carried 5–0, 2 absent). The board also approved an operator's license for Abbey Rudesill (Dollar General) on a motion by Hoffman, seconded by Trustee Michelle Martinez.
Trustees approved posting road weight limits (Class B postings) and treating Lower Lake Road as a Class B road to be coordinated with the Town of Herman; Trustee Blaine Ebert moved and Trustee Michelle Martinez seconded that action. Village President Rick Giese and Operations Manager Brian Carroll are scheduled to attend a Herman meeting on the subject.
Trustee Art Bahr was listed as organizing a public information and input session on Jan. 28, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. regarding a proposed Village Plaza at Main and Pleasant streets.
The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. on a motion by Brett Hoffman, seconded by Tom Madsen.
