Council authorized staff to apply for a four-year SAMHSA grant to support the GLOW mobile crisis and mobile integrated response teams; if awarded the city will return with an ordinance to accept funding and appropriate it.

Council members voted as part of the consent agenda to allow staff to apply for a SAMHSA behavioral health mobile crisis team partnership grant that would fund the GLOW mobile integrated response teams. Laura Hill, who presented the item, said the grant would "continue basically what we're currently doing with GLOW and our mobile integrated response teams" and described the award as a four-year, $750,000-per-year grant that would support existing staff.
