River Ridge board appoints Keith Merrill, elects officers
Summary
The River Ridge CDD appointed resident Keith Merrill to the vacant Seat 1 (term to Nov. 2026), administered the Oath of Office and adopted Resolution 2025-01 electing officers and removing a prior assistant secretary.
The River Ridge Community Development District board appointed resident Keith Merrill to fill the unexpired Seat 1 (term expires November 2026) after Mr. Bob Schultz nominated him and Mr. Robert Twombly seconded the motion; the appointment was approved without opposition. Mrs. Adams, serving as notary, administered the Oath of Office.
Following the oath, the board considered Resolution 2025-01 to elect and remove officers. Mr. Kurt Blumenthal nominated Bob Schultz as Chair, Terry Mountford as Vice Chair, Kurt Blumenthal and Robert Twombly as Assistant Secretaries and added Keith Merrill as an Assistant Secretary; the Resolution also removes James Gilman from his Assistant Secretary role. On a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Mountford, the board adopted Resolution 2025-01 unanimously.
District counsel and the district manager reviewed ethics training, Sunshine Law obligations, public records requirements and required disclosure and conflict forms for board service. The board confirmed staff will provide required forms and training materials to newly appointed members.
