At the Dec. 1 meeting the Platte County Commission approved several routine business items.
County Administrator Wes Minder presented Resolution 2025RES084 to reappoint Abby Olson to the Platte County Senior Citizen Services board and Resolution 2025RES085 to appoint Paul Cooper to the board of equalization; both appointments were approved unanimously.
The commission also approved Commission Order 2025CO162, a contract with Executive Workforce Consultants to supplement county human resources services, including an employee hotline and investigatory support. Commissioners described the contract as filling a gap in county HR capacity and voted to place the service in the county’s administrative operations for the coming year.
The commission additionally approved a rezoning request from the Wilkins Family Trust to change about 10 acres from agricultural to R‑80 (single‑family rural), a move staff said would allow a permitted building to meet setback requirements. The planning commission and staff recommended approval and the county vote was unanimous.
All items were adopted on motions and recorded roll calls indicated unanimous support where votes were taken.
