Resident Carrie Kleffner addressed the Maries R-1 School Board on July 22 asking the district to add a middle school cheer stipend. Kleffner told the board that currently only high-school cheer coaches receive stipends and asked the board to re-evaluate the stipend structure so middle‑school coaches are compensated.
