Board approves five action items including staff work agreement, task forces and e-learning MOU

The St. Francis Area Schools board approved five action items during the July 13 special meeting, voting each by voice vote after motions and brief comments.

Approved items and outcomes: the 2025-27 work agreement for laundry, staff, grounds, custodial and maintenance (motion moved and seconded; passed by voice); the board charge for a student-discipline task force (approved; first meeting planned for early August); an updated board charge for the community-engagement task force (approved); Policy 5.33 (wellness) at second reading (approved with thanks to the policy committee); and the 2026-27 e-learning-day memorandum of understanding (MOU) (approved; staff noted a few language items tied to early-education specificity to be resolved administratively).

Most motions drew little discussion; several board members thanked staff and committee members for their work. The consent agenda (five items) also passed by roll call earlier in the meeting (all members present recorded "aye" during roll call). No motions were defeated or tabled during the special meeting.
