Preston Harbor PID hearing continued to Aug. 3 at developer’s request
Summary
Council continued the public hearing on the Preston Harbor Public Improvement District (PID) until Aug. 3 after the developer said the anticipated PID bond closing moved from July 31 to August; no public speakers testified on the PID tonight.
City Attorney Julie Fort told the council that the Preston Harbor PID assessments would be used to finance PID bonds and that the assessments would be paid only by residents of Preston Harbor. She said the developer had asked the council to continue the public hearing and delay action because a PID bond closing initially anticipated for July 31 is now expected in August.
Mayor Pro Tem Adams moved to continue the public hearing to Aug. 3 at 6 p.m.; Councilman Redwine seconded and the council approved the continuation unanimously. No members of the public spoke for or against the PID item at this meeting.
The council will reconvene the PID hearing on Aug. 3, when staff and the developer are expected to return with updated closing and assessment information.
