Oak Run resident reports under-slab moisture; board says drain tiles likely HOA responsibility

An Oak Run resident told the River Ridge CDD about moisture and mold beneath her floor after heavy rainfall; inspectors found no plumbing or HVAC leak and a foundation specialist recommended perimeter drain tiles and downspout extensions, but board staff said drain tiles are likely the HOA's responsibility.

At the Oct. 22 River Ridge Community Development District meeting, Oak Run resident Lynda Sorensen described water intrusion that caused buckling of master-bedroom flooring and moisture and mold under the concrete slab at her home. She said inspections found no plumbing or HVAC leak and a leak-detection specialist reported very high moisture levels in the slab.
