EDA keeps Independence mural program, updates funding and review process

The Independence Economic Development Authority (EDA) voted July 23 to retain and revise the town's mural program as part of a downtown revitalization effort. During the meeting chairman Steve Marshall and members discussed funding, by-laws and the program's process; the EDA approved changes to reflect EDA oversight, leave the Architectural Review Board as a second review group and permit funding up to 50% of a project's cost with a maximum disbursement of $5,000.
