The council voted unanimously on June 22 to authorize the mayor to sign a resolution supporting Gator Manufacturing Machining and Manufacturing Company's application to the Iowa Development Authority Business Initiatives Growth (BIG) program. The mayor described the company's proposal as including "100 new full time positions" and a capital investment of "$13,740,000."
