The Fayette County Board of Commissioners on June 25 approved two rezoning petitions and tabled one.
Planning and Zoning Director Deborah Bell presented Petition 1381‑26 to rezone Parcel 0448 034 (8.227 acres) from A‑R to R‑80; staff and the Planning Commission recommended approval with a condition to dedicate land to provide a minimum 40‑ft right‑of‑way from the McBride Road centerline within 90 days. Petitioner Rod Wright accepted the condition and the Board approved the rezoning with that condition.
The Board tabled Petition 1382‑26 (Parcel 0903 007, request to rezone from R‑70 to A‑R) to the July 23 meeting at the petitioner’s request.
The Board also approved Petition 1383‑26 to rezone Parcel 044701 009 (2.34 acres) from A‑R to R‑70 with two conditions: dedication of a minimum 50‑ft right‑of‑way along Inman Road within 90 days (environmental management to approve deeds prior to final plat) and relocation of the existing Inman Road driveway to meet current access standards when the property is developed. Agent Julie Harp accepted the conditions and the Board approved the request.
