Attorney Hamp Moore updated the commission Oct. 28 that the plat for a property at 5th & Main was completed and filed in October, and the city will seek a hearing before the Board of Adjustments to consider a requested variance. Moore said the property owner had been served with a stop-work order during construction and “never tried to comply,” and that the city will prepare a response for the hearing, likely in December or January.
