At the Oct. 1 meeting the Ladies Auxiliary announced a Fire Department open house scheduled for Oct. 5, 2024, asked for raffle-item donations and reported it is working to complete 501(c)(3) nonprofit paperwork. Fire Chief Robert Hendricks also noted the department's strong storm response last week and said two new volunteers joined Monday night.
