The Eden Plus City Council approved Ordinance 2841 on second reading, the city’s first budget amendment for 2026.
Finance Director Kristen Reed outlined two changes made since first reading, highlighted an additional $35,000 allocation to purchase two digital reader boards paid from the street fund, and explained the amount was transferred once into the IT fund and split across funds per existing allocation percentages. Reed also noted the amendment reduces the Facilities Fund (Fund 35) reserves below the city’s reserve policy.
Committee members reported full support for the budget amendment, and a council motion to approve the ordinance was made, seconded and adopted by voice vote. The transcript records committee and staff explanation but does not include a roll‑call of individual council votes in the minutes.
The amendment reconciles estimated and actual beginning fund balances and moves amounts to updated estimated ending balances as described in the ordinance language read on the record.
