At its Feb. 10, 2026, meeting at the Public Safety Building, the City of Juneau EMS approved routine administrative items, heard committee reports and discussed a maintenance issue and short-term scheduling needs.
The meeting opened with roll call and a series of procedural approvals. Brittany moved to approve the meeting agenda and Dan T seconded; members approved the agenda without discussion. Brittany then moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting, Gina seconded and the motion passed. Brittany moved to accept the treasurer’s report, Gina seconded and the motion carried.
In committee reports, members noted several standing items. The training committee listed STEMI-related training as an item. The membership committee reported one possible new recruit. Maintenance reported that ambulance 2351 had a brake issue and was expected to be back in service the following day, a operational detail that could affect short-term availability. Communications said an UW Health webinar schedule will be posted in the station dayroom.
Under old business, members reviewed the schedule for Feb. 25 through March 1 and noted that Dan Z would be out of town; organizers asked for additional help to cover those dates. A Facebook project was reported as having no new developments.
Under new business, members discussed creating a rotating cleaning and inventory schedule so crews can clean rigs weekly. The group also discussed TB-testing options for members: individuals may either sign a waiver or obtain a TB test at the county health department.
The group set its next regular meeting for March 10 at 6:30 p.m. Brittany moved to adjourn, Gina seconded, and the motion passed.
For more information or accommodations, the meeting notice listed Dan Zank at 920-210-1023.
