The Morrison County Board of Adjustment on July 7 approved a variance permitting Ryan and Caitlin Strandberg to separate their residence from a tier‑2 dairy feedlot and retain the home on a five‑acre parcel while the contiguous feedlot operation is sold. Land services staff told the board the dairy farm sits on about 70.59 acres and that the nearest animal holding area is approximately 125 feet from the home, short of the 660‑foot setback normally required for a non‑feedlot residence adjacent to a tier‑2 feedlot.
