Rob, village staff, outlined the project's approvals history and said the total addition would approximate 54,166 square feet, including a north single‑story warehouse addition of roughly 13,000–14,000 square feet and a west three‑story office and manufacturing addition expanded to include a 2,600‑square‑foot cafeteria and food preparation area. He said about 65% of the site will remain open space and that the additions are expected to be complete by March 2026.
Rob said the company purchased Nexus Pharmaceuticals in April 2024 and that the site received prior planning approvals; recent permits allowed fence installation and an expansion of parking (about 100 spaces). Rob said the additions could support approximately 230 employees on site by the end of 2026.
When commissioners asked whether the company planned to hire locally, an applicant representative said the company is trying to recruit local employees where possible and had an open careers website. A commissioner moved to approve the final site and operational plans; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Rob said minor site modifications were made to accommodate the additions and that matching exterior materials would preserve character with the existing facility.
