The Sheboygan City Public Works Committee on July 27 approved authorizing resolutions that would allow temporary restriction of beach access and the closure of streets and boat ramps in support of the 2026 IHRA Mercury Racing Midwest Challenge, scheduled for Aug. 6–9, while noting the event’s status remains fluid.
